Toro Watersmart® Solutions
Save water & save your lawn
Up to 50 percent of the water used for outdoor irrigation can be lost or wasted due to over-watering, runoff, or evaporation. Toro WaterSmart products can be retrofit or added to any system to provide water savings and better irrigation efficiency while maintaining healthy landscapes.
Know your soil
Sandy soil
Sandy soil falls apart completely, letting water run right through. So plants don’t get enough water and dry out quickly.
Loam soil
The ideal soil, loam gently breaks into small clumps. It contains a mix of particles, allowing water to move more slowly through the soil.
Clay soil
Clay soil stays tightly clumped, preventing water from flowing through it. So roots don’t grow well and plants get waterlogged.

Get started with irrigation control
Water when, where and how often you want with our flexible, water-saving irrigation controllers.
Intuitive and easy to use, every Toro controller is designed to give you total control of your watering.
Choose the features that you need like Bluetooth connectivity, battery operation and rain delay.
Make sure you know your flow!
Your flow rate will determine how many litres per hour (emission devices) you can run at once in your system. When you start mapping your design, check your devices for their lph (litres per hour).
